West End SELPA Vocational Services supports member LEAs in preparing students with disabilities for successful postsecondary education, employment, and independent living. The team collaborates with districts, community agencies, and regional partners to develop and implement programs that promote career readiness and transition planning.

WorkAbility (WAI)

WorkAbility 1 (WAI) and the Transition Partnership Program (TPP) work together to provide employment training opportunities for businesses and qualifying individuals with special needs in and out of the classroom. Funding is received through a variety of agencies such as the California Department of Education (CDE)

Transition Partnership Program (TPP)

The Transition Partnership Program (TPP) connects high school students with disabilities to the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) and assists with their transition to work. TPP helps students overcome barriers to employment. Assistance may include direct job development, vocational training, or post-secondary education.

Department of Rehabilitation (DOR)

The California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) works in partnership with consumers and other stakeholders to provide services and advocacy resulting in employment, independent living, and equality for individuals with disabilities. Services are tailored to each person individually to ensure a greater chance for success.
