The governance councils operate under the requirements of the Brown Act. The advisory units include Community Advisory Committee (CAC), SELPA Advisory Committee, and Superintendents' Council.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is an informal method of settling disagreements that may arise during an IEP meeting. ADR focuses on open communication to find satisfying solutions to conflict that support and strengthen relationships.
